Anyone know of a way to ensure if I turn the fan off it stays off until I turn it back on?

Some latest terrible Google update now means if my fan is off and I exit and restarted the car it turns itself back on. It does this not as soon as the car starts (as then it would be safer to turn it off) but after I've driven away.

This infotainment system is trash and I'm considering getting rid of an otherwise great family car!!

Any tips welcome!!

 

are you talking about the engine fan or the climate control blower? What year/model is your car?

I'd hit up the dealer to see if there's a software update available. You should still be under warranty right?
