I have a 2003 XC90 AWD and my front seats are with electric. Does anyone know if newer year car seats (2003 to ?) can be used. The only thing I can think of with newer seats is the electrical connectors, may not be compatible with my 2003 seats. My seats are shot and any I checked salvage yards for 2003/2004 seats and they are just as poor.

The other option would be reupholster my seats. Has anyone ever tried reupholstering their seats? I see there is aftermarket Leather bottoms and backs available.

Last option would be seat covers. Any suggestions of good quality/fitting seat covers. The generic seat covers I reviewed seems chintzy.
