FWD vs AWD XC90

RE: FWD vs AWD XC90
I bought brand new mats from Volvo dealer a few months back & already one of the 2 the "snap in place" mechanisms on the driver's mat is non-functional, so I think they are probably poorly designed/fragile. If the other retainer breaks, I'll consider using sticky-back velcro (they're over £100 a set!).

RE: FWD vs AWD XC90
It's weird how none of my mats will snap on. Which leds me to either agree with you that these snap-on peices are really fragile, or I am doing it wrong. None of the peices look broken, so I am still thinking that I am doing something wrong. Anyone else have any experience with mat issues?

RE: FWD vs AWD XC90
Ours has AWD mostly for that one week each year on the outer banks of NC to drive on the beach. We had a V70xc before and have a V70 as my 'truck' and the biggest thing the 90XC does better is sit taller. The xc90 rocks more, handles poorer, less easy to load on the irregular floor, seats are shorter with less thigh support, center seats less confortable, consumes about 20% more gas than xc70 with same engine and AWD......The xc90 looks more distinctive and has better forward visibility although the dark rear windows can be a challange at night particulary for those of us over forty.
