Default Got My Service Campaign S49325 today!!

Just received a recall/service advisory in the mail today for the transmission control module (TCM) software calibrations settings, anyone else? And any thoughts on this service prolonging the life of a transmission (replaced at 65K)?

Thanks!

It may already have the latest software, a lot of the ones I've done were up to date as ready.

I've had what I like to call "bad luck" with the new software. The reason that I call it bad luck is because it has seemed to fix the problems in the transmission so now instead of possibly doing a transmission I only get paid for doing software under warranty. What the software does is change the shift points in the transmission. So far I haven't had any cars come back with transmission problems since I've done the software.

I'd rather do a software download for .3 and move on to the next job than a goodwill T6 trans.

Personally I'd rather do the trans and knock it out in around 3.5-4 hers ( if everything goes smoothly) and make the 8 hours ( if my memory serves me right because I haven't done one in quite a while)

If you can do the trans, cooler, radiator and lines in 4 hours, God bless you.
