The lowbeam bulb of my driver side headlight went out. I bought a new lamp but can't figure how to change it out. Can you help me with this?

 

On the 2003 XC90, I learned that it isn't just the headlight that gets replaced, but the entire socket and bulb. It is one complete unit. You can go to any auto parts store and purchase one. I use the Sylvania H11. Works fine. Instructions are in your owner's manual. Hope this help, good luck!

 

There are two metal "tabs" above the headlamp under the hood. Pull each one up and that will release the headlamp assembly and allow you to get to the bulb socket....I think it twists a 1/4 turn to release.
