Default Headlight Help - 2007 XC90

Hello my fellow Volvo lovers.

Ok...this is going to be a silly question. I've searched the forums, youtube, and read the owner's manual. There are 4 main circular bulb slots (2 on the left and 2 on the right) Using numbers R = 1-2- L = 3-4 to give you all a visual. I cannot get bulbs 2 and 3 to go on. I went to the dealer to get some work. They did replace the bulbs because I did have the bulb failure message. I know it is a user issue. How do I get bulbs 2 and 3 to go on? I've tried everything. Please help.

FG

You are not the first person to have difficulty loading bulbs in Volvo. For whatever reason, Volvo elected to use the twist-style to hold the bulbs in place. Unless you are fitting the tabs in the right direction and squarely on the housing, they can be a pain to get in.

After spending countless hours trying to replace bulbs, we've given up and just pull the headlight out. On the XC90 they come out easy. When you have the headlight housing on the bench, changing the bulbs is much easier. For the other models, we end up pulling the bumper cover especially on those right-hand bulbs.

You mean you can't get them to turn on, correct?
