Hi From a New XC90 Owner!
Hi everyone. I've been a lurker in this forum for quite some time now, but I'm happy to say that I'm now a first-timve Volvo owner, as I purchased a certified pre-owned 2007 XC90 (3.2 AWD) earlier this week. I had been looking for a new SUV since early summer, and right off the bat, the XC90 was at the top of my list. Having never owned a European import before, the prospect of owning an XC90 was somewhat of a departure for me, but one thing that really appealed to me was the XC90's exterior design. Plus, as many American manufacturers have turned to flashier, larger faux chrome front grills which I absolutely despise, I really liked the XC90's understated, clean design in that respect as well. Additionally, I really liked the interior design of the XC90, especially the comfort of the front seats, so these are just some of the factors that led me to ultimately choose the XC90. I was originally considering a CPO 2005 or 2006 model, but I'm happy that I held out and waited for a nice CPO 2007 model to come around, especially since it has a titanium gray exterior and sandstone interior, both of which I really like.
As I mentioned, the model I purchased was a 2007 3.2 AWD, and it has just a hair over 23K miles on it. In terms of the CPO warranty, I'm covered until October of 2012 or 100K miles. Not including taxes and nominal doc. fees, my final price for the vehicle itself (out of pocket + trade allowance) was just under $26K, which was about what I was expecing based on my research. It's a moot point now, but out of curiosity, does anyone think this is an average price? An exceptional price? Or, is the price a little high? The haggler in me always wonders if I could have or should have brought the price down even more, but I think I'm satisfied.
I won't take delivery for another couple of days since the dealer is doing some very minor body work on a couple of small dings and scratches, as I requested this as part of the deal. Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say hi, and I really look forward to driving my XC90 soon!

Seems like a good price to me for any 2007 model SUV.
Only one minor recall for 2007 XC90; climate control ECU needing software update:

Some XC90s have been equipped with GM-transmissions that are known to fail at very low mileage. I would be cautious with shifting; come to a complete stop when shifting.
Be sure to follow scheduled maintenance stated in the owner’s manual to get the most out of your XC90.
Happy motoring,

Congrats! Sounds like you're stoked on your purchase, so don't worry if you "could've" "mayb" brought the price down by a grand or so. It sounds like a fair price, so enjoy.
