My friend and I are trying to find where the horn on her 2004 XC90 is. Checked near the battery, the radiator as well as its end tanks; where could it be? the only other place I can thinkof is behind the bumper? Your help is much appreciated, as a horn's very valuable in California traffic.

 

I know where they are on the 850 and 70 series models. Which if you look right into the front grille you will see one on either side. Have you checked there.

 

The VADIS instructions say that the right hand headlamp has to be removed to remove the horns. Assume they are either behind or beneath that lamp.

Unfortunately, it is one of the few repair/replace pages that does not have an illustration.

 

it HAD to be the one repair w/out illustration, what luck.
yes, i have checked both sides of the grilled, nothing but radiator and plumbing.

 

hi there peeps i currently bought a used 06 v70 i love to drive it such a fun amazing car I'm planning some small projects one of witch is ramming a bit more cool air into the engine the car doesn't over heat its perfect but i'd like to cool it down a bit more make air run trough the engine and the heat to just flow out the engine bay, my question is has anyone tried to move the horns into a different location rather then right behind the main small grill?
