After experiencing the classic signs of a bad coil, I pulled into a car parts store parking lot about 10 miles or so after the first indication. As soon as I got into the lot, the car sputtered really hard and practically died when I got into a parking spot. I popped the hood and when the litteral smoke cleared I pulled the coil. The oil/epoxy leaked out and I am not sure what that has done to the motor. I have installed a new spark plug and coil, but the engine will not fire. Does anyone have any idea what is going on and what I need to do next?

 

Have you checked the fuse for the coils? #10 in the fusebox under the hood (if your car is close to a 2008 xc90)
