Only paid 2K for this XC90 and only plan to run it around my local area for errands etc. However, I have no manual to find specs for anything and I was hoping someone can help me here or direct me to a site with that information. The car has tranny issues, the engine is mechanically sound and runs great with the 160K miles on it. I definitely need to change out the tranny fluid but I've seen so many different recommended brands out there I want to make sure I use the correct fluid. I'll post a picture of it here pretty soon. Radio don't work, but the DVD player in the center console works fine. However I don't know how to turn the sound on. Any help with specs appreciated. Chuck in Arizona

Service manual - best choice will be to find a free copy of the stolen and hacked VIDA 2014d. That's the factory service, parts, diagnostics, and repair manual.
Your trans should take the 1161540 fluid (up to chassis # 568000) Used in the 2001 - 2014? transmissions. Expensive from Volvo but the same exact stuff is sold under many brands. That transmission (or similiar ) is used in many brands of cars. The Toyota T-IV fluid can be had reasonably priced sometimes. DO NOT put the wrong fluid (or any additives) in the transmission.
