Has anyone experienced an issue with their XC 90 where a key fob seems to cause an issue where the trunk repeatedly opens and closes and activates the alarm?
I spent an hour in a parking lot on the phone with Volvo and we figured out it was the fob, but it wasn’t related to a dead battery. The fob, to my best knowledge, wasn’t dropped, damaged or recently got wet.
using the valet key seems to be working for now. It was the most bizarre and frustrating experience.
even when the car was running in park, the alarm would sound and the trunk would open/close. I’m guessing this will be a costly fix. ​​​​​ I tried changing the battery, and as soon as I put a new battery in, the alarm went off again.
