Leaking sunroof???
Hi
i have a 2016 xc90 that’s pouring water from behind the rear view mirror. I’m not too sure if it’s from the sunroof. Water must be held in a reservoir cos once I drive it . Water would pour out and emptying itself onto the touch screen. This doesn’t happen every time it rains but surely in due time.
it really frustrating. I have sent video of it leaking to Volvo and they had it on 4 different occasions. Two three weeks at a time. But they can not replicate it to leak. This has been going on for a year now.
does anyone have any ideas????
help

I'm fairly sure that there may be a drain of some sort that's blocked with leaves / debris. I have a 2003 V70, and over the last 3 or 4 weeks (after heavy rain), water pours onto my right arm from the headlining on the O/S ( I'm in UK and have a RH drive). There's nothing in the Haynes manual that helps. I can only think that it's coming from the electric sunroof. I'm going to investigate further, now that it's stopped raining! and will pass on anything I find . .
I have since got it sorted. .the guttering around the sunroof was filled with water. I felt around and found two drain holes at the front corners. I used a wire and poked down them. Immediately I heard water pouring out through the bottom of the car. Sorted . . Now I just have to somehow dry the drivers footwell out where it got soaked in an inch of rainwater . . .

I have same problem with Volvo XC90 as mentioned above, I bought car from dealer, now am dealing with dealer, but the experience is same as everyone else, no much different. I am googling to see if Volvo means Rogue.
Had same problem with my 2007 XC90. I cleaned those drain holes in the corners and then pulled the interior pieces off of the side windshield pillars. The drain tubes run down through those on both sides. Found my drain tubes shortened over time and were not reaching the hole to drain out of the car. Bought some small hose unions and extended them to reach. Not sure if yours would be the same. Mine is a 3.2 L.
