2017 XC90 - How Many High Miles Do you Have?
I have a 2017 XC90 which I have been very happy with. I have followed the manufacturer service schedule and have had very few issues.
I'm at 62,000 miles and am now at a point where I have recurring long trips between NJ and MI, which has been piling on the miles (highway).
I know our cars have a reputation for long life and high miles, but I am a bit curious about what to expect long term given the different engine configuration (4cyl, turbo and supercharged) of this newer model.
What have others experienced with > 100K and have have seen even higher mileage with minimal issues? I'd love to keep this on the road for years to come.
Thanks in advance for your experiences.

I have had few problems with my 2017 S90T5 until this month. The first actual repair needed was the top engine mount needed replaced- my mechanic caught it on my early oil change. ( I change my oil every 5K miles at a certified Volvo shop and keep my 10K incremental services performed at the dealership.) This part was about $400 bucks and took about 15 minutes to install- I would have had it done at the local Volvo dealership under warranty but they are always booked out normally over 30 days and can never seem to call me back. (Volvo Cars of Austin.) Anyways- the car spends ALOT of its time on the interstate, but does a fair amount of running around town and idle time as well. The car uses no oil and runs perfectly (aside from some form of a whining sound which started today). The dealer thinks this is a oil breather module that is an easy fix.. they agreed to see me without an appointment to get it replaced tomorrow morning. My MPG's are around 36 HWY and combined HWY-CITY is 29 per the trip computer.
I've had better than average brake and rotor life due to the way I drive and utilize the driving systems (or in certain scenarios deactivate them). I've had one set of pads and rotors put on somewhere around 15K which the dealer covered as a courtesy.. I think I had "wear spots" on the rotors from when the car sat on the lot pre-purchase... Since then I've had rear pads and rotors put on but that's about it for repairs.
Good luck with your vehicle!

I have a late 2016 XC90 T5 AWD (post-piston ring fix) with 100k. Other than an intermittent P0171 code I've had no problems. Just replaced the original batteries. Getting 26 MPG in mixed driving which is a lot better than my 2010 V50.
I have a 2007 XC90 3.2L which just turned 160,000 MILES. replaced ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, lower control arms and working on replacing all engine mounts now. Sunroof don't work anymore so I just sealed it shut. A lot of things don't work but it gets me around locally which is what is was purchased for.
