The drivers side HID bulb failed on my 08 xc90. I replaced both bulbs and now the drivers side bulb turns on but then goes out after a few minutes. I did some additional research and based on this and I replaced the ballast but I still have the same problem with the headlight going off after a few minutes. Looking for any help as to what to do next. What's weird is that the daytime running light is also out and when I inspected the bulb it appears to be fine.

Which year is your car? Make sure you check the connection between the bulb and the wire (the metal connectors). Sometimes they get corroded, or the connection is loose and you get the same message.
