Default Need help on solving - Fuel Fumes

I was advised by a mechanic that the fumes emintaing from my '04 XC90 may be coming from a leak off the filler hose gasket to the tank or the fuel pump both on top (or there about) of the fuel tank - It was mentined that you can gain access by removing the rear seats - does anybody have an exploded view on how to do this?
Greatly appreciate the time and help

not sure where the fuel tank is on the XC90 anymore i did have to work on a friends wife's once she put desiel in her yep! heres your sign award! on my 80 and in most sedans they are under the middle seat all you do is remove the bench and some foam etc and its right there. now it should be somewhere on the passanger side of the vehicle follow the lines from the filler neck to the tank and youll find your tank the pump will be in the tank once you locate it you can start from the top and work your way down from the inside of the car. i wont give you more details now since i dont have my manual with me i wrote down the steps to do this when i had to when i get home ill post it.

Invest in a Chiltons or Haynes repair manual- best 20 bucks you can spend.
Why didn't the mechanic want to touch it?

Default Recall

There was a recall concerning fuel pump broken flange. This would result in fuel fumes being released inside the vehicle. Check the recalls....

Update - Called several Dealers - Northern New Jersey - One took the time to take the call and explain details on recall - it looks like there is one out there. they had bring the vehicle in and as it turns out the fuel pump was faulty (parts of the reason why you could smell the fumes) - there is a warranty just for the fuel pump replacement - extended to 120K miles.

Got the item repaired "underwarranty" - thanks to everyone
