Got our T8 not long ago...with the B & W sound system. Car has 900 miles on it. Tonight on start up we heard a very loud pop from the center of the dash. Could have been from the speakers.

Well come to find out the sound system is completely dead. You can hear some faint bass from the rear of the car and that's it! We don't even get chimes, safetely alert audio, nothing. Obviously going to bring it in on Monday to the dealer.

Please tell me this isn't a common issues with the B & W sound system? Failures in general? It sounds amazing though...best I've heard in a car so far!

 

I had similar happen in my S4 (Audi) a couple years ago.
Do a full system reset... In the Audi there were 3 buttons you had to hold down and it would do a hard reset on the system. All worked after...
Not sure about this car but I'd perhaps see how you can do a system reset.

 

Drove it today and everything is normal. Very odd. Not something that should be happening on a new 21 with 900 miles but hopefully it was just a fluke...
