I have a 2016 XC90 with 135k miles. The dealer tells me its blowing oil past the rings and will need new rings and pistons. The bill will be $7,000 +. I pricing rebuilt engines to see if that is a more affordable option. Any advice on other options?

 

well the options are a) rebuild your engine or b) install a used replacement. You can check car-part.com to price out a used engine from yards nationally then get a quote for the swap.
