I was hoping everyone could settle an issue about the 2006 xc90 Ocean Race Edition.
I am currently in negotiations to buy a used xc90 V8. The current owner insists it is a ocean race edition, and I am sure it is not.
My understanding is that trim is only in electric blue, with a square side emblem, silver trim, a special numbered plaque on glove box, and door frame trim featuring ocean race lettering.
The SUV he is selling is a V8, but has charcoal gray exterior, black interior, and zero race branding. He claims it is an even rarer gray edition.
Why is it important? Seller is $2000 over Kelly Blue book value based on his understanding that this is a rare edition.
I need your help... is there other colors of race edition, in 2006, other than electric blue?
