I assumed that there would be a sticky, or a post describing general oil change type of information.

However, I do not see any such threads.

I am talking about 1G Volvo XC 90, 3.2L

And most importantly, if anyone sees this, and can point me to something I missed, please let me know, and I can delete this post.

Otherwise, this might be useful to put up the info for general maintenance.

I would start by pointing out that you need do do the following for an oil change:

1. Have 8 quarts of 5W30 Oil. I used Castrol, as that is recommended.
2. A creeper would be useful. You can *almost do this work without jacking up the vehicle, but it difficult to get to the last 2 bolts (10mm) on the plastic engine shield.
3. A 36 mm socket is needed to get the oil filter housing apart. For newbies, this will be a black plastic housing on the passenger side, just behind the intake manifold.
