P001A Intake Camshaft Control Issue
2013 XC90 non turbo 3.2
P001A code persists after replacing the VVT solenoid. Could be a wiring issue? But live data shows timing advance is ranging from -11% to 38%. Engine is smooth until 4000rpm, then immediately misfires. Cam sensor looks fairly new but could be problematic? I don't want to keep throwing parts at this... thanks for any help!

steady 0.1V to the new VVT solenoid.
"P001A is the OBD-II generic code that appears when the PCM detects a noticeable lack of synchronization between the movement of the camshaft and the crankshaft."
so maybe it IS a sensor. The cam sensor connector was filled with what looks like gunky old dielectric grease. No change after cleaning it tho.
