Passenger Door Mirror
Hello All,
I own a 2004 xc90.
My passenger door mirror was hit and the glass fell out. I thought that I needed only the glass but part of the motor is attached to the back of the glass.
The housing seems to be fine. Dose anyone know how difficult it would be for me to try and replace the motor? I am looking at about $250. for these two pares (glass and Motor). I would appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Part of the motor should not be attached to the glass. I can only assume that when the mirror was hit the glass carrier came away from the motor. There should be two electrical connectors attached to the glass for the built-in heater.
Replacing the motor is easy as it is held in by three screws. Remove them and separate the connectors from the motor, making sure you know which connector goes where.
Connect the connectors to the new motor, replace the three screws, connecttwo connectors to the glass and replace the glass by hooking it into the inner mounting and pressing it into place.
