PEM / FCU location mystery

PEM / FCU location mystery
Long time reader, first time poster... with a weird problem:
I have a 2005 2.5T that won't start, I think I've narrowed it down to a fuel delivery issue... but I can't find the PEM *anywhere*.
It's not in the usual locations:
- wheelarch liner
- under middle row seats
- under back row seats
- beside the fuel filter
I've very nearly taken the entire car apart at this stage... does anyone have any further ideas?
Paul

Sorry to hear about your issue. I had the same issue and chased my tail until figuring out it was my PEM / FCU.
Mind was located in the front part of the rear passenger wheel well. I had to peel back the liner to find it.
Have you removed the rear seats and peeled back the carpet to the metal? It might be buried under all that.
Beyond that I'm not sure. Any chance the issue is the fuel pump itself or the fuel pressure sensor? Those are all possibilities I went through before getting to the PEM / FCU.
Good luck!

Yea, I've ripped everything out of it, no luck.
The local volvo guy says some of them are controlled directly by the CEM... maybe that's why I can't find it???
There's no fuel pressure sensor on mine.
It'll cost 120 to get it towed to the dealer, whereas a pump is about 250... so it's still tempting to just try swap it. So frustrating.
