A-Plan Employee Pricing
I am new to this site and I am interested in a new XC60 or XC90 in Northern California. I found through Costco’s web site they offer Volvo A-Plan employee pricing on new Volvo’s until July 1st. 2019.
My question is, has anyone used this pricing plan and what were the REAL savings?
Thanks

I guess no one has heard of Costco’s A-Plan employee pricing program or has used this pricing tool.
I am looking to buy a new XC90 within two weeks and would appreciate help with the best pricing available.

Just a note! The Costco A Plan employee pricing is a supercilious scam. I went yesterday to a Bay Area dealer with my “secret PIN number” in hand and priced out a 2019 Volvo Momentum T5 XC90 in stock. Low and behold the secret Costco A Plan employee pricing was $3,000 off of MSRP($55,000) plus the $1,000 Volvo’s manufactures incentive! Really! What a waste of time and energy.
I cant speak to Volvo / Costco per say , but , I know the Kawasaki stuff really shafted the dealers. Costco made roughly $500 on a Mule side by side , if a dealer ship for full MSRP they made about $950. Most car dealerships dont make much on the car its self , they make is up on the back end - warranties , finiancing rate bumps etc - . Im sure that the deal put together by Costco is about the same on cars so you may be surprised on how decent a deal this is.
I used the Costco program during mid-May to purchase a 2019 XC90 Momentum T6 with the Polestar optimization upgrade and I got a great deal. I was able to get Volvo's A-plan pricing, Costco's $1k rebate and Volvo's available incentives (over $9k off of MSRP). I definitely recommend the program and work with a couple different dealers because I compared dealers and the other dealer's best effort was only around $6k off of MSRP.

Agree with Irish. I didn't even know my employer was eligible or what the A-Plan was, but glad I found out. It ended up getting me $2K off the 'best' offer that I got from 2 different dealers. This was within a matter of 2 hrs, after I told them I got the A-Plan pin. I don't get the feeling like the dealership would have come down $2K just as part of normal haggling in that short a period of time.
I just bought an XC90
I received the Costco Discount - it was significant - like 6k
I also received an additional discount for working at my present employer. That was another 1k I believe.
But - I think that was the standard discount they were giving everyone to be honest. I'm not even a Costco member...LOL...
