I have a 2004 XC90 and had a leak in the steering hose. Replaced with a genuine part I purchased in Volvo on-line (aluminum tube lines with sealed rubber hose in-between). Followed the instructions that came with it; however, when it is time to start the car there is no response in the starter. No messages shown in the dashboard and even used the "MDCar" tool to monitor any errors or malfunction in the engine. I will appreciate anyone who can advise/suggest other means of starting the car. I even brought the battery to be checked and it turns out to be a good battery and all the lighting, radio, horn are working as well as the remote key which I replaced with a new battery. Prior to having a leak in the hose, everything are working fine. I even checked all the bolts and clamps that I removed and was installed the same way.
