Default Propeller Shaft (Noise)

On a U turn, I heard a loud noise underneath, like somthing is broken or mispositioned at almost the middle. Smilled oil burning for a short while only. The car runs ok, but still some noise ( tik tik ) when turning. Any ideas? Thanks.

Not too sure but it may be the rack. I just had mine replaced under warranty. It was making a clunking noise when I turned the wheel to full lock.

I was hearing something similar, whenever I make a right or left turn, I hear a ticking noise (tick.... tick.... tick) and it would stop after a brief moment. The noise appear to be getting worst and one day recently it even did it while I was driving on a straight road. So I finally took it to the dealer and they said it was the drive shaft need to be replaced, cost about $1200.00 (out of warranty). I had them go ahead and replace it and I haven't heard the noise since.
