Default Radio not working after battery change

Hi all. I just purchased my first Volvo last night. It's a 2005 XC90 2.5t FWD. I purchased from a local dodge dealer who knows nothing about Volvos. They changed the battery and now the radio no longer works. Is there a procedure that should have been followed that wasn't? According to Volvo's website I shouldn't need a code. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey OP, sounds to me like you need the code. I found this website for generating the code for my radio when I got a new battery earlier a couple of months ago. Hope it helps!

There is no code for his radio. And for future readers of this post- I would be weary of that website. Volvo radio codes are not "calculated".

I think "Calculate" is just the term they use. When I used the software I just entered my model details and it "Generated" the code
