Default Radio quit.

This evening as I parked the 04/xc90, turned the key off and it sounded as if the radio was still on. Inserted the key and manually turned off the radio. Turned the vehicle back on, now the screen lights up with High Performance Sound and then turns back off. Any ideas on where to look.

Default radio quit

Check this link I posted in October, my radio is still working fine. Make sure if you remove and reinstall your radio, disconnect the battery after you put your Volvo in neutral. Hope this helps

I tried this morning. The CD changer has some CDs jammed inside. I couldn't figure how to remove the CDs. I made sure that all the connectors were plugged in correctly. No avail, the radio is still dead.

Default Plan

You may want to try the Ebay route, you can probably get a radio for around $300. However, you will need to check the part number on your unit to check compatibility for whatever you order. Your local Volvo dealership should be able to pull up the unlock codes for the radio on their data base. I believe the codes can be retrieved by VIN (Of the vehicle it was salvaged from) or radio ser#.
