I have a 2004 Volvo XC90 T6. After changing my rear wheel bearings at the local mechanic (120.00 labor per wheel + I purchased the wheel bearing assembly for 99.00 each at fcpgroton). My Rear Right wheel abs sensor malfunctioned according to the volvo technician. So I went ahead and purchased the sensor for 76.00 at local volvo dealer. My local mechanic installed it . It took 3 hours!!! Mechanic had to remove rear passenger seat to get to the other end of the sensor which was plugged in a compartment under the seat.
As usual with volvo's I say a little prayer. Well everytihng was put together and low and behold the Abs and antiskid light still comes on.
So will take it to the dealer and see what they say.
Mechanic did not charge me labor because at thim point we believe he may have damaged the senor when installing the rear wheel bearing assembly.
