Default removing pins from wiring harness

So I have the left blinker/driver door open issue due to a broken wire. It's the back wire right at the harness that clips to the door. Needs to remove the remnants of the wire and the pin. Any help on how to get the pin to release?

I did the job about an hour ago. I used a needle nose and yanked like a butcher. I then used a generic piece from a speaker set and crimped it on to the black wire and pushed. no clicking, but I think it will hold. hope someone has a better solution.

here are two links that don't have your answer, but may help others.

The receptacle housing has a catch that needs to be released to allow the terminal to be pulled out (or pushed out since there isn't much left to grab onto). Really hard to explain on the internet though.

I finally got an eyeglass screwdriver to slip in the with a lot of force. Switched over to a Bobby pin, but I can't get that sucker to release. I'm using medical tweezers that lock to grab the pin around what's left of the wire. Just can't quite get it to disengage. Had the Bobby pin all the way through the connector at one point.

I've searched for a picture of what these specific pins looks like to see where the catch is, but I just can't get the right combination of search terms. Plus, with all of this manhandling, I may end up needing a new one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
