Does anyone know if Volvo can install this system on an XC90 T8 if it was not included? I see the blank in the button position in the cargo space.

 

I had one installed on my XC90 a couple months after I bought it... if you have the button in the back I think they should be able to do it. fwiw I think this is a super handy function, especially since the car is a bit longer than I'm used to and is nice to have the hitch retracted when it's not in use.

 

Yes, you can. We just had one installed on a 2022 XC90 T8. I am assuming yours is a new one. Be careful about the limitations on the hitch. I cannot say more at this time as I am still exploring it. More later if I get info I need.

William, I saw your post regarding the retractable hitch. I am assuming you got the full software package that went with this.
Have you actually towed a trailer yet? I am unable to find any operating instructions for the Stability Control function. What have you found? Did you get an operation manual for the hitch and software?
