rough idle check engine light

rough idle check engine light

Driving today xc90 2003 engine light came on and started to idle rough. Any thoughts before I bring it into a mechanic to be diagnosed. Any help would be appreciated.

How many miles are on your car? And how rough is it, are the rpms changing? Can you give a little more detailed description? Thanks

RPM's not changing-137,000 miles-idle is pretty rough especially upon intial acceleration

just got code off of car...cylinder 3 misfiring. What does that entail?

You likely have a bad coil pack. There are several threads that talk about misfires in the 960 section. Check them out.
