Noticed in the picture below seatbelt wearing through the upholstery material right next to the drivers seat of my Wife’s XC-90. Even if I take it to an upholstery shop the same thing is going to happen over and over again until she stops letting the seatbelt slide up and bang that material. And that’s like herding cats, so doubtful that will work. Does anyone have any idea if anyone makes a rubberized contact patch that the seatbelt can hit repeatedly and bounce off that? Something that just use the simple double sticky tape that I can attach and if I don’t like the way it looks I can just remove it. Note in second picture this is my Mercedes GLK and of note take a look how the black plastic rides so much higher than it does on the Volvo and if the seatbelt is allowed to retract back on its own it doesn’t do any damage to the upholstery.
