Default 2007 XC90 Sport will not start

Car has been running fine. Got in it this weekend and the car would not start. Nothing happens when turning the key although there is power to all gauges, etc. The battery seems fine. Seems to be immobilized.

2 Messages appear: Anti-Skid Service Required. And... Immobilizer See Manual.

I have attempted to reset the Imobilizer by toggling the Lock/Unlock on the key 5 times. This does not work. I have also disconnected the battery and left it off for half an hour. Still no luck.

What is going on here? Is there a way to reset the Anti-Skid message? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Also, for what its worth, the oil was change about 3 weeks ago and new tires were put on the vehicle.

Very old thread but it could help someone that owns that model....
Usually the Anti-Skid Service Required error is an (indirect) indication that you need a new battery.

Little late to the party, but...

I had a similar issue several months ago on my '04...The immobilizer system connection to the back of the alternator needed a cleaning... I disconnected the wire, used some emory cloth on the post and, voila... no more issues.

Yeah weird - I have a 2019 XC90 and something similar just happened to me. Car has been running fine, is only a few months old. Got in and turned the start button, everything came on except the engine & fans. Tried again, locked and unlocked car, no luck. Locked car, got spare key - same thing. Called Volvo, they said I needed a jump. I disagreed and went out in our other car, called my wife to vent. She used the same key I tried and it worked first time (this was maybe 10 mins later). After I got back I tried the key I took out with me, also worked. So, immobiliser? Activated by what?! Did I accidentally turn the wheel when getting in the car? Would be nice if it let you know...
