Driving home from my sisters on Turkey Day my XC 90, Mulva, was making a fast paced ticking noise from the top of the engine. To me it sounds like a lifter. I have never worked on a vehicle this "new" ; mostly only American vehicles 1985 and under so I'm not certain. I checked the oil level afer it sat and cooled off and it was spot on perfect as it was before the 120 mile round trip. My mileage is 94k and I have kept the oil changed religiously and with full synthetics.
Just for thoughts, I started her back up and the noise was not immediate but started again within a moment. Fast paced ticking and increased as I pulled on the throttle. Any thoughts?
BTW she is the 2.5T model.
