Towing with a xc90 T6 polestar, can I really only go up to 5000?

Towing with a xc90 T6 polestar, can I really only go up to 5000?
I have a 2019 xc90 with polestar (rdesign)
ive been towing a rental travel trailer with a dry weight of 3500 (so maybe around 4200 with cargo?) for the past 3 weeks.
i want to buy a trailer but it has a 4000 dry weight which means I will possibly get to 5000 with cargo
my question is
if t5 has 5000 lb towing (with 250 hp and 258 torque)
how come my t6 (316 hp and 295 torque) has the same towing capacity? Does the polestar add HP and torque?
Is it the braking capacity? I’m using a brake controller and the trailer has a double axis so should be better.
i would love to be able to buy this trailer...
Anybody here know about towing beyond the suggested specs?
