New to the forum. I have seen there are other threads on towing and I have read them. However they didn't apply to my situation so i have my own towing question.

I have a 2006 XC90 2.5 FWD. It has no towing package.

My husband and I are looking into getting a pop up and I have read in the manual that the TC is 4500lbs.

But I am still scared. So, does anyone have an XC90 FWD that tows a camper? If so did you install a tranny cooler? If so how much does that cost and is it needed?


I appreciate in advance any answers to my questions and further info if you want to share with me.

I tow all kinds of things with my 2004 T6 AWD without a towing package. My sense would be that a trailer as light as a pop up trailer will cause zero issues. I've seen people pull horse boxes behind XC90s and those are much heavier than a pop up
