Ive been having a problem with the transmission for a couple of weeks now. My xc90, when aacelerated agresssively, the transmission slips and makes the car tug as if the clutch were worn out or something of the sort. My main issue is not finding another transmission to buy or to pinpoint the exact problem and replace only what needs be replaced. And for someone to tell me if i the transmission is the AW55-50SN or not.. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly apreciated seeing as i live in a country where there are very few volvos and barely any 2.5t xc90

 

I would first do a drain and fill of the transmission. If it is a 2.5t, then you need transmission fluid equivalent to JWS3309.

Drain and fill will take 3.5 litres of fluid. try it first as it is the cheapest option, and you never know!

Also check the engine mounts.
