Used prestone radiator block leak
I didn't know thathat I had a coolant problem till I saw a warning on my dash board. I brought my car to my mechanic and tells me that it's because of my radiator why I have a leak. And it's a very bad leak too. He tells me now he can't service the car till later on this week. Talked to my dad and told me to get a radiator block as a temp solution and I bought prestone radiator block with pellets and now even if my coolant tank is full it's still giving me the coolant low stop engine message on my dash board. The pellets haven't dissolved and it's still in my coolant tank. I think I just messed it up even more. How can I resolve this other than bringing it to the mechanic?
Here is a video on how to remove the coolant tank, so you can clean it out.
If you are unable to remove the tank than get a garden hose and put it in the tank and let it run for 10 minutes hopefully this will bubble out and flush most of the stop leak sediment out.To get buy till you go to the shop just carry plenty of water like 5 gallons with you and fill it up best you can, avoid overheating at all cost.
