I have a 2007 V8 SE Lux here in the UK. Its excellent but for one extremely annoying problem. It makes a terrible buzzing noise from the exhaust under gentle acceleration at about 1500rpm. It sounds as if maybe a heat shield is vibrating at that particular point in the rev range. I really spoils what would otherwise be a lovely engine noise. The car has been back to the dealer and it did seem slightly better but now is back and worse. Can anyone help me please??????

 

If you can do so safely, I would do a visual inspection and try to shake the exhaust pipe, starting from the manifolds to the tail end. Do this while the engine is stone cold of course. It may or may not be the heat shields and I would look for other objects within the close proximity.
