Default Windshield Wiper Blades

The blades on my '05 xc90 are due for replacement. Since blades don't seem to be covered under the extended warranty, I've been looking for aftermarket units. The OEM ones appear to be somewhat different in mounting from other blades, and in fact I have purchased several but they don't include mounting brackets like the originals, and won't work on the vehicle. Is this a situation where I'm either at the dealer's mercy, or a specialty aftermarket supplier? Have any other XC90 2005 or newer owners had to replace theirs yet? How did you handle it?

Thanks.

I know some blades come with a adapter piece. Check and see if the ones you bought came with it.

Also are you going to places like AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, Pep Boys, Etc... If so are you using their computer to help you pick the right blades out?

Yes, but the blades shown are correct only in the length (24" and 22"). The mounting bracket won't fit any other than theblades on my xc which are made by Valeo. Tire rack priced the exact ones at $30 (pas) and $32 (driver). Aren't there any others which will fit the particular mount on this car?

Thanks for your help. The price at Europarts was about $20 per set cheaper than at the dealer before shipping.

I recently replaced mine with Bosch ICON (424A and 422A), $44.78 for both and they work great.
