XC90 2.5T Suddenly losing boost, power cuts out, continues off/on, bucking car
Hi all,
I've been having a strange issue with my XC90 (184k miles). At low boost, the car feels fine. However on medium-heavy throttle with boost build, the turbo suddenly "dumps" its pressure, the car seems to cut gas, and it violently jerks back and forth as this repeats with even with constant throttle. The "blowoff" noise of the turbo seems different as well. Coinciding with this problem is new MAF/running rich codes.
The only "mod" the car has is a bypassed PCV.
Just from preliminary reading, I'm thinking it could potentially be a TCV or a leak in the OTE pipe (which seems snug), but I haven't found many people with the same symptoms.
