Hi,
Just purchased the Volvo XC90 T6 2016 model. When I go to displays to activate the HUD to view speed, incoming calls etc there is no option. The only thing I see on the windshield is distance warning light that displays. Is there a specific software that needs to be purchased?

If your car has it installed (it's an option) these pages in the owners manual tell you how to activate it.

 

 

Thank you Hoonk. I read the manual and there are no other options. So I think it was never installed. Do I have to take it to the dealer to install or is there any other way?

You don't have head up. That's the glowing/flashing red light that comes on when the car thinks you are too close and about to crash. (if turned on) I doubt if it could be easily or economically retrofitted. For one thing the windshield if different, and a replacement on my 2015 with the auto cruise control was over $1500 just for the windshield a few years ago.
