Just joining this forum. Looking forward for sharing information.

We live our XC90 D5. Recently three times within the last month the engine suddenly stalled on highway.

Everything goes black (including dashboard, do not know about lights as it happened during daylight).

Need to go to N then Franck and it starts again. I noticed that the fuel consumption calculation shows --.-- for a few seconds meaning it really starts from scratch. Went to dealer, no trace in computer.

In general car runs fine. For information we do have a fully alarm system following I think a forced start with battery being empty. Might have damaged some part of the alarm. Also when we drive the flap of fuel tank is free and moves around. Mentioning these in case related.

Has anyone had similar engine stalling ? I found some posts of engines selling at red lights but nine during driving (except the cases for faulty fuel gauge).
