Hi, I tried to replace the inside door handle on the driver's side. Panel taken out, cables unplugged, those were easy. I have difficulties taking out the door handle compartment - it looks like the plastic compartments where screws are normally placed are soldered. See picture attached (the door handle compartment as seen attached on the door panel).
Can anyone tell me how to replace this, or are there screws or clips I am missing? I can't seem to find anything on youtube. Thanks for your help! On the door panel - see the soldered parts around the casing
I have changed my handle today.
After door card is removed.
first you must remove decorative metal panel. I used your picture. Forget to do it. You see this screw. White square. There is many of them 5 ore 6. You take them out. And push decor metal panel out. Metal panel is off. Soo we can access handle pin from otside. But first you remove small plastic pin. Next you start push metall pin that holding spring and handle. I move it with knife. You see pin coming out. Then you cant push it from bottom, you start to move it from top. White square... Now you can take pin out and handle is free to go)) Handle is out.. spring ... And you change handle.. push spring inside.. Install handle in it position.. and push all pins back.. All other moves you do in backward direction. Done.
I have the same issue with my 2019 Volvo XC90. Can you tell me what the part # was that you ordered to replace the broken door part? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
