Default XC90 Passenger Side Rear Susspension

Hello all. I purchased a Certified Pre-owned 03 XC90 last week and have noticed a few problems with the vehicle. One that has me concerned is when travelling over a series of bumps on the passenger side, there is a rattling sound that comes from the rear and if there are enough bumps, the passenger side rear actually swings out to the passenger side, almost fishtailling and requiring steering input to correct the problem. If you hit bumps with the drivers side of the suv, there is no interuption with the suspension at all. I do have the 7 passenger with auto level and have contacted the dealer. The service writer told me that this is caused by the Stability Control system but we will look at it for you. Has anyone had this sort of problem before? Thanks.

Default RE: XC90 Passenger Side Rear Susspension

Hello.
Sorry for the delayed response but I had the car serviced at the dealer on Wednesday and they had to replace the shocks in the rear. Turned out they were both in bad shape causing the auto level to be compensate for poor shocks. Only took a few hours to repair and now the vehicle handles pretty good.
