XC90 SRS failure code 0064 LF Tensioner
I have a 2007 XC90 that was involved in a light accident. No bags deployed, but I do have an SRS light displayed, and on attempt to clear that code ((0064) Seat Belt Tensioner, left front Resistance too high), the light will disappear, but come back seconds later. I cannot clear this code permanently.
I suspect that the explosive tensioner charge must have deployed, but have also learned that there may be two, one for the shoulder, and one for the lap portion of the belt.
How can I tell if this is the case, and if they are blown. Are there any other sensors that I may have to replace along the way, to clear this problem.
I do have a donor car, but am not sure if it's belts also had their charges deploy, so a swap is a worthy effort, but may be a waste of time.
Any guidance as to what I should replace, or any tricks, would be appreciated.
Is the resistance referred to an electrical resistance, or a mechanical resistance, and of what component, or sensor(s)?
Let me know. Someone knows the answer...
