Default Gear shifter issue

Hi all. Just curious if someone here is having a similar issue. I have a 2005 Volvo s40 2.4i. It is a communter car I bought so I don't put 100 miles a day on my Wrangler. It has 156k on it. I just did front control arms, struts, sway bar links and changed the oil. For the most part it runs good. It has a few minor issues.

In the morning, it doesn't want to shift out of park until the engine warms up. then it shifts great when I am going from park to reverse then to drive. It shifts ok when driving. It only happens in the morning when it sits out side.

Any thoughts?

Both the curtain #4 and the panel #2 with printed circuit are common items to replace on the shifter from what I see - although not sure why it would be temperature related
