I currently have the Michelin - Energy™ MXV4® Plus on my car and looking to buy a new set of tires. Before pulling the trigger and buying the same tires, I would like to know what other volvo owners suggest based on their experience with other tires. I am looking for a tire with great traction, low sound, and equal or greater mpg. Of course, I'm also trying to save some $$$ and looking at valuable alternatives to the Michelin - Energy™ MXV4® Plus. Can anyone help me by giving me some suggestions. I'm currently looking at Pirelli Cinturato P5 tires. Thanks in advance.

 

Don't know your wheel size or tire size, and don't know the climate you live in, so I cannot provide any specific adkvice. And I don't know your budget, either.

But, go to TireRack website and fill in the size parameters. Reiad customer reviews. You'll read real life experiences from people who bought various tires. Read them. The collective is smarter than the individual. If you have the time, also do the same with Discount Tire. If you're in the South, you don't care about snow performance. If you're in the North, you do. There's loads of opinions and comment there. You can also price your choices and do the math.

I recentlye used these sicts to choose a set of Conti DWS ExtremeContact 17" tires for a V70. Probably the highest reviewed tire there for this application that Z speed reated, all season and with good tread wear numbers. Even Southerners like them for rainy days a lot.
