i have had a problem a few times now, car starts fine drive for approx 10-15 mins switch off car, go off and do what ever not necessaryly locking car , then return to the car and it wont start. All ign lights come on as normal transponder being read ok but car not cranking, have tried removing column shroud and having a bit of a poke around but nothing really to be seen, it always seems to happen when i have no tools on me to check voltages etc.. any ideas ???

You will have to try to check for power at the starter when it happens.

Sometimes I will hook up a light that will come on everytime I crank the car. Then when it starts it will go off.
This way you will know if you have power to the starter or not.

barge, have you ever figured out the problem? seems like I am having the same issue. the battery is fine, but the car won't crank at all.

I had this same problem. The dealer finally figured out it was the crank sensor. It was not shielded properly. This was causing an intermittent problem.
