Default 2003 V70

Hi, I have a 2003 V70 w/ 53,000. Recently, the check engine light appeared and car sometimes looses power and stalls. It will start right back up and seem to drive fine. One night (of course) it happened 4 times within a short distance & hubby had to come save me and the kids. He put some dry gas in, checked all fluids, etc. & drove it home with no problems at all. So far the car seems just ok. I will feel it hesitate every so often but then almost catch & go. I am no longer under warranty and lease ends in 2 months. In the meantime does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Thanks a million!

Maybe it is the ETM.

What can be done for the ETM? Does it need to go to the dealer?

Is this common with the V70's? Stalling sometimes and then othertimes seeming perfectly fine? The check engine light on then going off at other times? I was considering keeping this car but maybe not if a bad model/year. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Might just be a minor software problem.

Thanks for your input. I was concerned it was serious and nervous to drive it. Have a good night.

Just get it to the Dealer when you can to have it checked.

Just to let you know, I did continue to have problems with the car. I got it to a dealer and it was a fuel module gone bad. They did say that many of these cars have fuel pump problems, but that mine was fine. They replaced the sensor and tested the fuel pump and all is ok. For some reason, they told me to watch for the fuel pump problems in the future. Is this a problem across the board with these models? Thanks for you help!
